Viele Grüsse, זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes13:16, 6 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Aha. Ich war nicht vertraut mit diesem Kriterium 1. Also warten wir darauf, was Gerhard meint!

Hello,
I noticed that you make numerous changes on brwiki because files were renamed on Commons. I just wanted to check: are there any issues with CommonsDelinker? AFAIK it should be able to do this job. It does have the bot status and is not blocked. Or is there a particular reason not to use it? Huñvreüs (talk) 13:58, 14 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hey Ziv!
I'm a patroller and contributor on frwikt. I saw you on our patrol tool and first and foremost thank you!
I originally came to ask why what you do isn't automated, but i read the question above this one and got my reply.
Considering you are doing this job manually, what page do you check for renames? Do you need help? I don't contribute on commons, so judging how tedious and annoying what you're doing can be is difficult for me. If you'd need help, I'd gladly help :D
You're right, it's actually an automated process. For minor changes with less than 50 languages versions using the file, the script handles it under my name; for more, it writes a command for CommonsDelinker, which then does the job. Basically, it's not a problem if a filename isn't changed immediately, as long as the redirect created for it isn't deleted. I'm only doing it because I have some time right now and it allows me to make a few edits in different language versions.
If you want to help, sure you can. However, it takes some practice at the beginning, and here's the easiest way to do it:
Go to User:CommonsDelinker/commands. There you can see the old and new filenames in the list. As an example: Replace File:N2403s.jpg (LU,GU), klick on GU. You will now see a list of which language versions still use the old file name. Mark old file name with CTRL + F N2403s.jpg so that the old name appears in the tab below. Now click on the image or, ideally, open it in a new tab. Then select the new filename NGC2403 Galaxy from the Mount Lemmon SkyCenter Schulman Telescope courtesy Adam Block.jpg and copy it using CTRL + C. Now open the language version where you want to change the name, like the french one with Modifier le code. CTRL + F again and search with the cursor in the tab. Then CTRL + V, enter as resume → File has been renamed on Commons ([[:c:GR]]) (copy this, it contains a link, thus creating a backlink to Commons explaining why the filename was changed) and safe the page, thats all.

Hi Ziv, could you please take a look at this DR? I'm inclined to comply (delete). But eventually a female view might be more relevant in this case.
זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes11:07, 17 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi Ziv,
I see you've marked many of my images as potential copyright violations because they contain fb metadata. I was not aware that they contain that, but regardless, it is my original work. However, why have the images all been deleted immediately without allowing me to respond to the claims? I wanted to check the metadata on the images myself and see what was there before I could rectify. Deadly437 (talk) 11:19, 18 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
Facebook metadata usually indicates that the image was uploaded to Facebook or Instagram, downloaded from there, and then subsequently uploaded here. Therefore, you must be able to prove that these are your own works. Even better, always upload images in their original size, in high resolution, and with the original EXIF data from your camera or smartphone. Of course, you have the right to request the restoration of the images; please do so on COM:UNDEL. However, they will also inform you there that you must prove you are the original author of the images and will likewise recommend that you upload the original images to Commons. Another option would be to include a link to your Facebook/Instagram in the image description and you add a note to the respective Facebook/Instagram posts stating that you are releasing the image under a free license {{Cc-by-sa-4.0}} and that anyone can use it. Example text: I am the creator/author of this image and grant permission to everyone to use the image under the Creative Commons license [https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/deed.en creativecommons.org 4.0]. If you are considering this option, then you should also post the links to Facebook/Instagram in the undeletion request, ideally with the note I suggested above. Furthermore, there is also the possibility that you prove via COM:VRT that you are the author of the images. I hope that helps, Best regards, זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes11:50, 18 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello, you rejected some renaming requests done by me on various files on the basis that "other language versions refer to this as a seal", however the inverse is true as well: Spanish, Italian, Polish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, and many others do not. I do not understand this logic, but I am not familiar with how renaming works, so am I missing something here?
I believe that the renaming criteria that I put forward is still valid - the only reason I could see to decline would be #2, but this isn't true as it is not called a seal on most projects - so is it possible to review or appeal this decision, perhaps? Hello Ziv, I write here for it looks you are more active in this page. I'm trying to figure out who's editing and managing the Venetian-language Wikipedia so I can help more effectively. No one's been responding lately. Since you write a lot there, do you know if there's a user on the venetan Wikipedia I could ask for information? Thanks in advance! Currently, I only know of @Ciaurlec: , who is the temporary sysop. I've tried to ask him for extended privileges so that I can potentially help mark articles as reviewed. Most of the edits that affect me personally are just filename changes. These don't necessarily need to be reviewed. Is there a specific page on your language version where I could apply for these rights? I couldn't find it. זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes12:21, 26 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hallo Ziv,
Beste Grüsse, זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes21:04, 3 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
Merke (Klammer) zu Kriterium 4: Just because images share a category does not mean that they are part of a set. There are two scenarios that this criterion is designed for. First, certain complex templates (such as those that use BSicons or that display football kits) assume that the images used in them will follow a specific naming convention. Wikisource also uses a specific naming convention for the source files they transcribe. Second, files that form parts of a whole (such as scans from the same book or large images that are divided into smaller portions due to Commons’ upload size restriction) should follow the same naming convention so that they appear together, in order, in categories and lists. Hi, Ziv,
I have recently (and inadvertently) included in Wikimedia Commons a localization map taken from Google Maps. The image name was "Mapa do Rio Grande do Sul com a localização da ilha na Lagoa dos Patos" (Map of Rio Grande do Sul showing the island's location in Lagoa dos Patos). This image was included in the article pt:Ilha Marechal Deodoro of Wiki.pt. My first attempt was to generate a similar image using the resources of the Info/Island Infobox, but it didn't work as expected.
The Google Maps image was soon after (and properly) removed by you from Commons, for copyright violation. Since a localization map is important for the article, my idea now is to use and credit, instead, an image taken from OpenStreetMap, whose content, as stated on their website, is "Open data: you are free to use it for any purpose as long as you credit OpenStreetMap and its contributors". Before doint it, though, I would very much appreciate if you could confirm my understanding that this would be in accordance with the Commons criteria.

Hi, I would like to ask why did you delete file that I had uploaded on wikicommons (called Gmil2026).
Thank you in advance for your answer :) Gufciopufcio (talk) 15:25, 22 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
But I don't understand. I'm literally a member of the organization organizing this competition, maybe not specifically the graphic designer who created the logo, but who should have the copyright to it if not me and other members of the organization? Gufciopufcio (talk) 15:37, 22 March 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Gufciopufcio: It's actually quite simple. If a cited source has a copyright notice, we delete it unless permission for the upload can be proven otherwise. However, I see you also added the {{Permission pending}} template during the upload process. Does this mean you intended to send permission to the VRT team, or is it already on its way to us? If so, you don't need to do anything further. As mentioned, a deleted file can be restored, after the email was reviewed by a member. זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes15:51, 22 March 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi Ziv, you are going to delete "Exact or scaled-down duplicate" photographs by Ludwig Bickell like this. But this causes the loss of meta data as the description of the files are different! The reason for those duplicates is that photographs of Ludwig Bickell has been added over years by several user like me. Last autumn, the Bildarchiv Foto Marburg, which hosts the Bickell images, donated all of its photos to Wikimedia Commons. According to the agreement, only images NOT already on Commons were to be donated. However, with almost 3,000 images some duplicates did occur. The individually uploaded images generally have more detailed and accurate descriptions than the automatically generated database uploads.

2024 Picture of the Year:Mundari man polishing the horns of one of his Watusi cows using a mixture of cow urine and ash as a ritualistic and protective practice in a temporary cattle camp in Terekeka, South Sudan.
Dear Wikimedian,
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2025 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year is the twentieth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favourite images featured on Commons during the last year (2025) to produce a single Picture of the Year.
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the top 5% of most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just five images to become the Picture of the Year.

I had requested to renaming the File:Jkr-ftA1.png and several files from File:Jkr-ftA--.png to this name format: File:Jkr-a--.png. Because the file can be use in the English Wikipedia Template:JKR(A), which mostly used for Perak State Route. In case you all missed it, if refer to the latest Malaysian Public Works DepartmentStatistic Book, no any Federal Route started with alphabet.
Please read COM:FNC. Which criterion do you think is appropriate there?
Criterium 1: (Original uploaders request): , because you are not.
Criterium 2: (To change from a meaningless or ambiguous name to a name that describes what the image particularly displays.): , because the name is still meaningless and we do not move from meaningless to meaningless & COM:FRNOT #1 Files should NOT be renamed only because the new name looks a bit better.
Criterium 3: (To correct obvious errors in filenames) , i see no error, only a bad filename.
Criterium 4: (To harmonize the names of a set of images so that only one part of all names differs.) , because of Commons:File renaming#cite note-4.
Criterium 5 & 6: , no violation of Commons’ policies and guidelines and there are no bugs such as duplicate file extensions or similar issues.
Your first request was open for eleven days Special:Diff/1196482327 and no file mover or administrator wanted to move it. This is usually a sign that the move is not in accordance with the renaming rules. I don't know anything about any templates in language versions; in any case, the Malaysian Wikipedia has also managed to integrate the images into its templates. זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes03:17, 25 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Moinsen Ziv.

זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes20:08, 27 April 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hi everyone,
Wikimedia Commons is pleased to finally announce the winners of this year's Picture of the Year 2025 contest! We had some truly incredible finalists to choose from, but the community has spoken.
Here are your top three winning images:
First place: The aftermath of an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City on October 9, 2023, leaving widespread destruction in the Rimal area. Attribution: WAFA (Q2915969) / CC-BY-SA 3.0
Second place: Baby cape fur seal (Arctocephalus pusillus) sleeping at Cape cross, Namibia. Attribution: Giles Laurent / CC-BY-SA 4.0
Third place: A gigantic jet photographed from the International Space Station by astronaut Nichole Ayers. Attribution: public domain
You can view the full results and see where all your favorite images placed here: Full 2025 Results
I also want to highlight what an incredible turnout we had. In the second round, we saw a massive jump in both the number of users voting and the total votes cast. We had exactly 13,979 votes cast by 3,509 users! To put that in perspective, last year we had 7,403 votes from 2,837 users. It is amazing to see that level of growth and community engagement.
Thank you to everyone who voted, helped organize, and generally made the contest such a huge success this year!
These old files don't take up any storage space and were previously used in the language versions before a better version existed. Deleting them is therefore not recommended and also not needed. For File:Loouis9.jpg i think a good idea is tagg the file with {{Duplicate}}. Files available as identical copies on Wikimedia Commons. For me it's useless to keep them. It puts confusion in the categories (for example in this case : Louis IX in miniature ; by the way it depicts Louis X, not IX, I will correct). In some cases exist 4 or 5 copies of the same image. Regards. Ivan Banderivets (talk) 11:06, 17 May 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Ivan Banderivets: Yes, but that only works if the file is actually exactly the same, which wasn't the case for any of the tagged files. Just two examples:

Hello there. On 25 May this file was speedily deleted as a copyright violation. That's fair enough. However, as I wished to use it (or indeed another one) for the subject's infobox *only [Frank McGuigan], am I able to claim fair use for a copyrighted file? And what tag/rubric do I need to put in the uploading information? When attempting to do so I was unable to use the right "rubric" and, instead, made it clear in the file info. what I was trying to do. Clearly that cut no ice. Any advice would be appreciated. Many thanks Billsmith60 (talk) 12:16, 2 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Du verstehst mich komplett falsch! Bitte bemerke folgendes an diesem Projekt. זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes23:11, 7 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Also nochmals:
For love letters and other notes09:34, 8 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello good morning am new here I don't exactly know who to talk to but am having an issue. So with the permissions of my sister I uploaded an image I took of my sister to this platform wearing a traditional headdress of my ethnic group called ichafu to the platform. But a user by the name Dolpina nominated my picture for deletion (the picture file is File:An igbo woman in Ichafu headdress.jpg) with the reason for the nomination being that the head covering of my ethnic group (Igbo people of Nigeria) isn't ichafu and that it is instead gele. I was so confused because even if the headdress on my sisters head wasn't ichafu a wrongful term isn't the proper reasons for why a picture which I own should be deleted on the platform. I checked out this users contributions and from what I saw I can conclude from the users history that he or she is trying to delete any picture that mentions ichafu on the platform by nominating it all for deletion with the reason for the deletion being that it is all gele (which is a traditional headdress of the Yoruba people) since she is practically deleting any picture with she could find with the word ichafu by terming it gele am assuming she is Yoruba. You can also Google ichafu and gele you would see that they are headdresses in Nigeria with gele being a word to describe a scarf headdress in Nigeria by the Yoruba people of Nigeria and Ichafu being a word also used for a scarf headdress by the Igbo people of Nigeria. The user also seem to be deleting alot of pictures that are igbo related am not too sure for why he or she is trying delete those other none Igbo related pictures. Regardless am bringing this up to you and pleading for you to look into this thank you very much. Bonde maxx (talk) 18:05, 12 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
ok do you want me to upload the full image I don't know much about exifs and resolutions because with transfers and handovers won't the image exif be altered. Anywho the picture was taken on an iphone 11 Pro Max and it was taken sometime in the begining of 2025 January 4th in Nigeria awka. It was cropped with iphone 14 pro max also I should say that since ichafu is what it is called in my culture I really do not understand the point of changing it to the name her culture uses. Doing that is a subtle cultural erasure. Bonde maxx (talk) 20:15, 12 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hey @Bonde maxx I support your appeal to keep this file and effort to save this cultural asset.
User:dophina has been flagging every images that has the word "ichafu" in it for deletion. She has be claiming that Ịchafú is gele. Wmbata (talk) 12:11, 13 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Hello @Ziv. I have just submitted several speedy deletion requests for files that I uploaded. I apologise, as I made a mistake: I had actually intended to submit regular deletion requests rather than speedy deletion requests. Lilauid (talk) 00:37, 14 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
No problem. I've now converted them all into regular deletion requests. Please provide a reason why the files need to be deleted. But have something in mind: Simply stating that a file has been replaced by another or is no longer up-to-date is not a sufficient reason for deletion. Best regards, זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes00:53, 14 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for the reminder, and I sincerely apologise for the inconvenience I have caused. I will provide the reason for deletion separately in each deletion request. Lilauid (talk) 01:08, 14 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Currently, I keep getting a timeout error when I try to open files from mos.ru. Perhaps my IP address is simply being blocked. The current file description contains no indication that it was a file from the website. But if it is indeed a mos.ru file and you can change the description accordingly, please do. Thank you. Hello. I would like to ask for help in reviewing three files that were nominated for deletion by another user as possible derivative works. I do not question the good faith of that user, and I understand why a concern about derivative work may have arisen. However, in my view, the situation is not obvious and requires a separate assessment for each file. I am the author of the photographs and uploaded them as documentary images of objects/a sign that have encyclopedic value.
Regarding the file with the commemorative tray (File:Commemorative tray of the Second Congress of the World Congress of Tatars.jpg), I would like to ask whether it really should be considered a non-free derivative work. This is not a reproduction of a separate poster, painting, or independent illustration, but a photograph of a physical commemorative object connected with the Second World Congress of Tatars. The image on the tray consists of documentary and recognizable elements: architectural objects of Kazan, a monument, inscriptions, and general souvenir-style design. In my view, before deletion it is important to determine which specific element is considered an independent copyrighted work, who its author is, whether the copyright is still valid, and whether that element is the main reason for deletion. Without such clarification, the file does not seem to be an obvious violation. I ask you to consider the possibility of keeping the file rather than deleting it as an unambiguous derivative work.
Regarding the file with the commemorative medal (File:Commemorative medal of the Second Congress of the World Congress of Tatars 01.jpg), I would also like to ask for a separate assessment. The photograph shows a commemorative object dedicated to the 1997 event — the Second World Congress of Tatars in Kazan. The main elements of the medal are informational, symbolic, and commemorative in nature: the date, place, inscriptions, heraldic/emblematic elements, a ribbon, a geometric grid, and a simple composition. If the issue concerns official symbols, I ask you to take into account that such elements are not always treated as ordinary copyrighted works. If the problem is specifically the overall design of the medal, I would like to ask whether this design reaches a sufficient level of originality to be considered an independent copyrighted work. In my view, the file is valuable as a documentary image of a commemorative medal, not as an attempt to reproduce someone else’s artistic work. Therefore, I ask that the case not be treated as obvious, and that you help determine whether there are real grounds for deletion.
Regarding the file with the mosque sign (File:Mosque, village of Nizhny Begenyash 05.jpg), I especially ask you to consider the possibility of keeping it. This is a photograph of a publicly displayed informational sign, not a reproduction of an independent artistic work. The main content of the sign is factual text with the name of the mosque and district, as well as images of the mosque building itself. If the issue concerns the building, freedom of panorama applies in Russia to architectural objects located in a public place or visible from a public place. If the issue concerns the sign itself, its design appears to be ordinary informational design: plain text, images of the building, and standard decorative elements in the corners. In my view, such a sign does not have a clearly expressed independent artistic originality, and its purpose is primarily informational. Therefore, I ask you to consider the file as an acceptable documentary photograph of a public sign and mosque building, rather than as a non-free derivative work.
For the first two, this looks like "Fair use content", because of COM:TOO Russia.
For the file with the Mosque sign. The way it's attached is a little strange and suggests that this sign isn't permanently affixed, which is absolutely necessary according to COM:FOP Russia.
I don't know exactly why @Romano1981: thinks this is a derivative work, but one thing I personally notice about many of your uploads that you claim to be your own work. Many of these are simply low-resolution files with completely missing EXIF data. This isn't exactly recommended, and I suggest you only upload high-resolution files that also have valid EXIF data.
Hi Ziv, you're quite right. The photo was uploaded at an incredibly low resolution for 2025, lacks an EXIF, and appears to be a downscaled version of a professional studio photo taken using specialized lighting. Since the user's other uploads contain nothing similar that would suggest they possess professional photography skills, I asked the manager of the person depicted by e-mail about the author of this artwork. I'm still awaiting a response. Romano1981 (talk) 13:29, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Further, I believe the user is being pretty disingenuous when claiming copyright on some other files they uploaded. For example, look at File:Софронов, Семен Александрович.webp: no camera generates webp format when creating photos; it is specifically designed for posting on websites to save bandwidth. The user apparently got this photo from one of such websites. Romano1981 (talk) 14:02, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
@Romano1981: Thank you for mentioning the file with the webp extension. I don't want to accuse the uploader of anything, but the presence of other files in different formats also suggests that they were likely found somewhere on the internet and are not the uploader's own work. Many websites compress photos and remove EXIF data entirely to save storage space on their servers. זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes16:16, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
I received a response from Danil Golovkin's manager, Karina Chistyakova. Here it is: This is a self-portrait of Danil Golovkin (he's holding the remote control in his right hand). A high-resolution photo can be found here: [3]. So, my suspicions were confirmed: User:Mizgel lied about their authorship of the photo, which I now tagged for a speedy deletion. Romano1981 (talk) 18:03, 16 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Hello, I'd like to point out that my statement that I'm the author of the photo was initially agreed upon with the person in the photo, and he gave me permission to upload the photo to the warehouse. I contacted him, and he re-uploaded the photo to the website, indicating open licensing. As an administrator, could you please advise whether this formatting was appropriate? If not, this photo can be uploaded to Danil's (the one in the photo) website, with the license indicated. Mizgel (talk) 06:48, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Okay, if that's not suitable, then we'll upload the photo to Danil's official website now, indicating the license. I haven't covered the licensing process via COM:VRT yet, as publishing it on the person in the photo's personal website would be quicker. Thank you for your reply. Mizgel (talk) 07:17, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Question for the future: if photos are uploaded to the Flickr website under the required license, is this considered a good license for Wikimedia Commons? Mizgel (talk) 07:52, 17 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Yes, exactly, and that's the crux of the matter. Whether the account actually belongs to Ivan Karelin cannot be definitively verified, and since the pictures show Ivan Karelin, he cannot be the owner of them; rather, it is always the photographer who took the photos of Karelin, for whatever purpose. זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes17:03, 19 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
I posted the photo under my own name based on a personal verbal agreement with the hockey player himself, but now I've asked him to post it on Flickr to ensure proper licensing. Could you please tell me if this format is appropriate? Mizgel (talk) 17:16, 19 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
No, according to your comment, the true copyright owner of the images remains unknown. Mizgel, you're actually close to me taking a closer look at all your uploads and nuking away anything that seems suspicious. זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes17:24, 19 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
I'm sorry, but I honestly don't quite understand what you mean in that last sentence. Regarding the photo, there's another sentence: You can contact the hockey player on Instagram; he'll confirm that he was the one who posted the photo on Flickr and that he owns the rights to the photo. Mizgel (talk) 17:30, 19 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
I meant that Instagram allows you to contact him and find out that he's the copyright holder and that he, as the copyright holder, uploaded the photo to Flickr. Will this option work for verification, or is the last resort—COM:VRT? Mizgel (talk) 03:48, 20 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
A photographer posted a photo on Flickr to clarify the license ( 1 and 2 ). Could you please tell me if everything is OK? I'd also like an answer regarding the hockey player's previously uploaded photos. Should I email him at COM:VRT now? Mizgel (talk) 13:28, 20 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

Beste Grüsse, זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes18:37, 19 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes18:48, 19 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
זיו「Ziv」 • For love letters and other notes02:32, 20 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
If you did not create the file yourself or if it is a derivative of another work that is possibly subject to copyright protection, then you must specify where you found it (e.g. usually a link to the web page where you got it), you must provide proof that it has a license that is acceptable for Commons (e.g. usually a link to the terms of use for content from that page), and you must add an appropriate license tag. If you did not create the file yourself and the specific source and license information is not available on the web, you must obtain permission through the VRT system and follow the procedure described there.
Note that any unsourced or improperly licensed files will be deleted one week after they have been marked as lacking proper information, as described in criteria for deletion. If you have uploaded other files, please confirm that you have provided the proper information for those files, too. If you have any questions about licenses please ask at Commons:Village pump/Copyright or see our help pages. Thank you.
This is a deletion request for the community to discuss whether the nominated page should be kept or deleted. Please voice your opinion in the linked request above. Thank you very much!
If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues.
Please remember to respond to and – if appropriate – contradict the arguments supporting deletion. Arguments which focus on the nominator will not affect the result of the nomination. Thank you!

Hello! Regarding some of the deleted photos, I have already sent messages to COM:VRT. For some of the deleted files, I contacted the individuals who had granted permission for publication, but they have not yet completed the necessary procedures; consequently, I will submit a restoration request later, though the files remain deleted for now. However, there are files for which I attempted to make contact but was unable to reach the person I had originally made arrangements with; therefore, I would like the files File:Vitaly Chernov 02.jpg and File:Vitaly Chernov 01.jpg to be deleted. Also, please delete this file (File:Stanislav Gorshunov Awards.jpg); they just can't seem to get around to posting the photo on their website. I want to emphasize that I will not make such gross errors again. From now on, I will handle files with the utmost care. Mizgel (talk) 14:53, 3 July 2026 (UTC)Reply

Ciao Ziv!
Merci!
